Materials: Red + black face paint, a paintbrush, a digital camera for photograph, and a restaurant setting. Process(es): Did a paint on doll by paintbrush, red masking tape for silence, and a restaurant for more pictures. My artwork succeeds in capturing a picture of a teenage girl who is silences, it has a childhood doll next to her who sees her pains, worries, and thoughts. The girl is sad on her special day because she is unable to find real feelings in herself, and wishes she was another girl, like a female character she sees on a TV show she watches. I added a lot of disturbing details on a doll to show that the same challenges that the teenage girl went through, so did her childhood doll as she was living with her. I wanted to capture a picture that truly reflects a girl who wishes she was someone else and does not see the beauty within her, and her doll who wants to speak up for her because of the pain she has went through.
